I usually answer within one or two days. Please tell me your iPhone model and iOS version if something does not work. You can also tap Send feedback in Tummi under Settings, Help & feedback.

Your data
How do I export my diary?
In Tummi, open Settings, then Your data, and tap Export as CSV. Tummi creates a spreadsheet file with all your entries on your iPhone. Save it to Files, send it to yourself or open it in Numbers, Excel or Google Sheets. CSV export is free.
How do I make a backup?
Tummi backs up your diary automatically to your own private iCloud when you are signed in to iCloud. You can turn it on or off under Settings, Your data, iCloud backup. On top of that you can tap Export full backup at any time: one file with your diary and your photos. Keep it somewhere safe, for example in Files or iCloud Drive. Tummi also keeps daily snapshots on your device.
How do I restore a backup, for example on a new iPhone?
- Install Tummi on the new iPhone.
- If you are signed in with the same Apple Account and iCloud backup is on, Tummi brings your diary back from your private iCloud.
- If you have a full backup file, open Settings, Your data, tap Restore from backup and pick the file.
Photos are not part of the iCloud backup. To take your photos to a new iPhone, use a full backup file, which contains them.
Can I import data from another app?
Yes, with Tummi Plus. Export a CSV file from PCal, Happy Poop or Bowelle and import it under Settings, Your data, Import from another app. If your app is not listed, send me a sample file and I will look into it.
How do I delete everything?
Use Delete all data in Tummi's settings. This removes your diary, photos and snapshots from the device and clears the iCloud backup. It cannot be undone, so export a backup first if you might want your data later. Uninstalling Tummi also deletes all data on the device.
Photos and privacy
Why are my photos not in the Photos app?
On purpose. Photos taken in Tummi stay inside Tummi, so they never show up in your camera roll, in shared albums or in iCloud Photos. They are locked with Face ID.
Face ID does not work for my photos.
Check iOS Settings, Face ID and Passcode, Other Apps, and make sure Tummi is allowed. If Face ID is not available, your iPhone passcode works too. To lock the whole app, turn on Lock Tummi with Face ID under Settings, Privacy.
Can I switch off analytics?
Yes. Tummi only sends anonymous usage events, never your entries, photos or health data. Turn off Share anonymous usage under Settings, Privacy. Details are in the privacy policy.
Can I use a less obvious app icon?
Yes. Turn on Discreet app icon under Settings, Privacy, and your home screen shows a neutral icon.
Apple Health and reminders
What does Tummi write to Apple Health?
If you turn on Apple Health under Settings, Extras, Tummi writes the symptoms constipation, diarrhea, bloating and abdominal cramps to the Health app. Tummi does not read anything from Health. You can change access in the Health app under Sharing, Apps, Tummi.
I do not get reminders.
Check that reminders are on under Settings, Reminders, and that notifications for Tummi are allowed in iOS Settings, Notifications, Tummi. Focus modes can also hold notifications back.
Tummi Plus
What is free and what is Plus?
Logging, the calendar, photos, your full history, reminders, CSV export and backups are free forever. Tummi Plus adds insights and charts, patterns after meals, "your diary compared", laxative response time, the doctor report PDF, multiple profiles and import from other apps.
How do I cancel my subscription?
- Open the iOS Settings app.
- Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Choose Tummi Plus and tap Cancel Subscription.
You keep Plus until the end of the current period. If you cancel during the 7-day free trial at least 24 hours before it ends, you are not charged. Subscriptions are managed by Apple, so I cannot cancel them for you.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, choose the purchase and select "Request a refund".
I bought Plus but it is not active.
In Tummi, open Settings, Help & feedback and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy. If it still does not work, write to me.
Health questions
Tummi is a diary, not a medical device. It does not diagnose or treat any condition and cannot replace a doctor. Please see a doctor if you notice blood, black or very pale stools, strong or lasting pain, fever, unexplained weight loss, or a sudden change in your bowel habits. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
